Who Is Covenant Baptist Church?

Covenant Baptist Church of Blount County is made up of ordinary people with a desire to serve the Lord, and worship Him in spirit and in truth. Our membership is made up of blue collar and white collar workers, retired folks, children, and teenagers.

Covenant Baptist Church of Blount County came together with a desire to see a Reformed Baptist Church in Blount County that is committed to the whole counsel of God. To attest to our understanding of the universal nature of the church, and for accountability, we formed a Founders-Friendly Church.

Covenant Baptist Church of Blount County is also aligned with the Southern Baptist Convention.

Covenant Baptist Church of Blount County meets every Sunday morning for Sunday School and corporate worship. We come together on Sunday evenings for Bible study. Each Wednesday, the church gathers again for mid-week Bible study.

“Missions is not the ultimate goal of the church. Worship is. Missions exists because worship doesn’t.”

John Piper

“I would rather believe a limited atonement that is efficacious for all men for whom it was intended, than a universal atonement that is not efficacious for anybody, except the will of men be added to it.”

Charles Haddon Spurgeon

“All the blessings we enjoy are Divine deposits, committed to our trust on this condition, that they should be dispensed for the benefit of our neighbors.”

John Calvin

“But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him.” John 4:23 (ESV)
